toes.

let me begin by saying, this video is a little hokie for my particular taste but that this song is amazing!

The current is strong from what I've heard
It'll whisk you down the stream
But I never seem to have the time

Today is one of these new days we dream about. You know, the kind where our eyes open a little wider and we hope to listen a little better. Perhaps even think a little broader. My arms are wide open for what's to come. I think I have found peace with myself, finally, and a new day begins.

Daydreamed on the bank again
I was swimming with the fish
And I thought this time that it may be true

[ I don't really have any secrets, she told me once. I just forget a lot of stuff.]

What can I say? I'm flawed. But when I do listen, I listen with intent and fervor. I just can't be tied down to one thought. The world is too busy and it occupies my mind often. I am sure that many of my friends would agree that I cannot be tied down to one idea or one decision. I am very capricious by nature which is why I find it difficult to blog today.

Walked a mile just to find the edge
Some place low enough to step right in
Now I'm here and I can't begin - to move

Here I begin a new journey. A new way of making decisions and hopefully with new outcomes in my life, professionally, personally, and romantically. I can't begin to move because I am not sure where I am supposed to go. Maybe one day I will have the gall to peek outside of the song and blog on my own accord. Until then, dear readers, you'll have to bear with me earning your trust and relinquishing dissonance over time. It's like the dreaded first date that you just have to get over to learn about someone.

The spoiled sun up over there
It always has to have its way
And I know that the river's there to shelter me

Alright, for my first semi-planned tangent. I received Patrick's "pseudo-Valentine's Day" gift today. A delightful un-surprise considering we would celebrate "Inspired and Random Acts of Kindness", with Kristin, in lieu of that utter nonsense concocted by St. Valentine. And I know that my friends are there to shelter me, is a nice feeling indeed. I relish the warm sun on my skin and the company of these cherished moments despite our long distance best friendship.

My toes just touched the water
My toes just touched the water

And I cannot wait to touch the water tomorrow.
